TCR-2501 / 2502 – OPTICAL CONSISTENCY TRANSMITTERS FOR TOTAL PULP CONSISTENCY – THE PEAK IN CONSISTENCY CONTROL

Light version on top (TCR-2511/2512) and retractable standard version (TCR-2501/2502) at the bottom.

The TCR-2501/2502 transmitter series is an inline filler- and true total consistency transmitter; it is thus virtually insensitive to variations in filler and fines content as well as changes in fiber properties.

The transmitter is available with either one output signal as in the TCR-2501 – PeakTotal or two as in the TCR-2502 – PeakTotal2 for total consistency and ash. The second output can be calibrated for filler or for different fiber properties. Based on BTG’s patented Peak method for optical analysis this transmitter covers total consistencies in the range of 0.5 to 10%.

TCR-2501 and TCR-2502 is equipped with a retracting system so it can be taken out of the line while the process is running but is also availble as a light version – named TCR-2511 and TCR-2512 – without the retration system.

It is mounted inline, close after the pump discharge and provides real-time results. The probe is a unique low-maintenance probe
without electronic components attached, which makes the transmitter insensitive to variations in temperature and vibration.

The PeakTotal and PeakTotal2 offer a number of advanced capabilities and can be applied in most applications from the pulper to the machine chest with good results and fast payback.
